Basic Info

Nepal, the land of the Mt. Everest where gurkhas live, is one of the country with lots of diversity in geography, bio-life and cultures. Most of the people here are very gutsy and family oriented. Mainly the people of Nepal are known to be as the Gurkhas (Soldiers of Dignity). People here welcome and respect new things and are very good learner. The cultural diversity within the country has made different people experts on different faculties. Nepal, unified by late king Prithivi Narayan Shah, has 75 districts and 14 zones where the human habitat resides. From that day till now Nepal is an open minded country and do not mind to try new things and yes as a result Nepal is developing and it is due to intrest of people to try new things.

Along with time humans have advanced to many technologies to ease themselves and MOTORBIKE is one of them. In last decade many bikes have been introduced and still being run in the Nepali roads but now the peoples' demand and choice has been selective and their wants have grown higher. So in order to meet peoples' demand an Italian company has introduced new bikes with modern technology whilist considering ergonomics and meeting the Euro 3 standard. And these bikes were into the roads of Nepal in 2010. The Turbo trading company, owned by Abinav J.B. Rana, started working with the Italian company, DUCATI, one of the unit of Audi, initially introduced 3 models which are Hypermotard, Monster and street fighter.

Bikes

Bikes currently in the showroom are Hyperstrada, Hypermotard, Monster and Ducati 848 (the super bike). The bikes are at peak for the demand. People from outside of the Kathmandu valley do come here to atleast look the bikes and some of them have purchased also. The Ducati lovers are unexpectedly more. Few guys have bought more than one model of Ducati and the trend is increasing. The demand for all models are equal and people have been purchasing these bikes despite of the high prices compare to other bikes in the valley. This shows the craze of quality and models the Nepali people wants and indeed Ducati can be given credibility for the fulfillment of the perfect bikes in the market. Here are some reviews of the bikes available.

Hyperstrada :

"Strada" in Italy means road and Hyperstrada, 1st debuted EICMA in Milan in 12 november 2012, was developed mainly focusing on touring. The bike earned the nick name as mini-multi after its debut. It is a cross machine of motard and touring. Hyperstrada features high handle bars with comfortable seat and grabbing handles for passangers. This bike provides the 50 litres of luggage with an additional top case of 31 litres, which is optional. This bike is derived from the previous Ducati Hypermotard and offers Ducati saftey package, 3 level ABS and 8 level Ducati traction with integrated mode. In Nepal, 3 of this 1200 CC  bikes have been sold so far. People are appreciating this bike and youths love them.

Hypermotard :

My favourite one, the Hypermotard 796 is the supermotard bike in the showroom. A 803 cc engine with cool looks and comfort makes this bike even better. Although expensive when once ridden it's worth. It does not provide aerodynamics position that's why while riding the rider should be ready for lots of wind in the chest. With the mirror in the side of the handle bar and side light on the handle cover, this bike has unlimited customization. Hypermotard is available in Hypermotard 1100 evo and Hypermotard 796. The new model of this bike will enter showroom in May. The new model is Hypermotard 820, with 821 cc of testastretta engine. The new bike is also present in two models Hypermotard normal version and Hypermotard SP version. The SP version is little expensive than the normal one.
